DURHAM — A man, accused of walking into the Duke president's office with a loaded gun, is walking the streets.
A judge dropped all the charges againstDavid Patrick Maloneon Friday because of a technicality. Police say Malone walked into Nan Keohane's office in September and claimed he would kill himself if he did not see her.
The judge released him after a probable cause hearing because the officer on the stand never identified Malone as the suspect.
The grand jury could still bring charges against Malone when it meets Nov. 27.
