HALIFAX COUNTY — A mix-up behind the wheel caused a scare Friday at a Halifax County post office.

The driver of a van hit the gas instead of the brake and plowed into the post office on Roanoke Avenue. The van hit Michelle Rogers and pushed her through a wall.

Rogers was treated and released from the hospital. The driver of the van is charged with reckless driving.
