Four Months After Shooting, Officials Still Searching For Chief's Killer

Posted Updated

RICH SQUARE — The murder of Rich Square's police chief remains unsolved. Authorities hope a candlelight vigil planned for next week changes that.

Chief Joe White was shot and killed in the line of duty four months ago. So far, the only thing authorities have to go on is a composite sketch of the suspect.

Investigators hope the upcoming vigil will compel someone to come forward with information leading to an arrest.

The vigil is planned for 6 p.m. next Friday at the Rich Square Town Hall.
