Investigation of Wilson Motel Fire Continues

WILSON — TheState Bureau of Investigationis analyzing charred pieces of evidence from a motel fire in Wilson Friday.
City fire investigators say they found evidence of a flammable liquid in three unoccupied rooms at the Days Inn on Highway 301.
About 30 families who were staying at the motel were evacuated when the empty rooms burst into flames.
Damage from the fire is estimated at $90,000. It is not clear when the motel will reopen.
At this time, no charges have been filed.
