FOUR OAKS — An accident on the tracks in Johnston County sent one person to the hospital and stopped a CSX train.

The 91-car train slammed into a car sitting on the tracks off Saunders Street in Four Oaks just after 1 p.m. Sunday.

CSX says the train did slow down as it was rolling through town.

The driver of the car, Reginald Burns, was airlifted to UNC Hospitals where he is listed in fair condition.
