Three Charged in Benson Beating

BENSON — Three people face charges for a fight that took place last weekend near Benson's annual Mule Days festivities.

Kurt Collier was beaten and robbed at the Sanders Public Housing complex over the weekend. He was wearing a t-shirt with a confederate flag when he was attacked.

Jimmy Banks, 22, and Bob McArthur, 24, were arrested Thursday, along with a juvenile.

Banks is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. McArthur is charged with assault inflicting serious injury.

Benson police expect to make more arrests.
