Hurricanes Storm The ESA For Pre-Season Home Opener

RALEIGH — TheCarolina Hurricaneshosted the Washington Capitals in the pre-season home opener Wednesday at theRaleigh Entertainment and Sports Arena.

The Carolina Hurricanes hope to pull in more fans this season withpromisesthat they have improved the traffic and parking, offer more food choices and a better ticket exchange policy.

"We are responding to what the community wants, and the changes that the community would like to see in this team and this facility," says Jim Cain, Hurricanes president. "If we can do these things right, we think the fans will respond well."

This season, weeknight games will start at 7 p.m. instead of 7:30 p.m.
