Cary Neighborhood Does Not Want Car Dealership In Their Backyards

CARY — ACaryneighborhood is fighting to keep a car dealership out of its backyard. The business wants to locate on land near theKids Together Playground.
People who live in a nearby subdivision say the dealership would not fit in. They have asked the town to keep commercial development out of the area.
"The biggest stumbling block, I think, is trying to balance the rights of the landowner with the concerns of the neighborhoods and the concerns of the town," says neighbor Mike Wnorowski.
Town leaders say putting in an office park might be a good compromise, but first, the intersection of Highway 64 and Cary Parkway must be improved.
