NASH COUNTY, N.C. — The Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly accident in Nash County late Friday evening.
Troopers said 17-year-old Daniel Denton lost control on Old White Oak Road, ran off the road, and overturned multiple times around midnight.
Denton and his 15-year-old passenger were thrown from the car, and Denton was killed. Emergency crews took the girl to the hospital, but there is no word on her condition.
Troopers say Denton was not wearing his seat belt. There is no word on if speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
