Site SearchDURHAM, N.C. — Both drivers involved in an accident that shut down part of Interstate 85 face charges.
Troopers say Ricky Hackney was driving a Fed Ex tractor-trailer when he rear-ended another tractor-trailer early Wednesday morning. Hackney's tractor trailer overturned, blocking both lanes of the roadway.
Hackney was accused of reckless driving.
Ion Semens, the other driver, is charged with operating a truck with faulty equipment.
The crash shut down the interstate near Hillsborough for nearly nine hours.
