NASHVILLE — AVanderbilt Universityfootball player is in the hospital after he plunged 10 stories down an elevator shaft.
Luke Hammond and some other students were stuck in the elevator car between floors.
Police say the 19-year-old was trying to climb out of the elevator and scale down the shaft when he plunged to the bottom.
