FAYETTEVILLE — Getting in and out of theCrown Coliseumin Fayetteville is about to get much easier.
Work on a three-lane road connecting the Crown complex to Wilkes Road is about to begin.
The road's lanes will take cars into the coliseum's parking lots before events. All of the lanes will then be used to lead cars out of the complex after events.
Plans call forOwen Road to be extended, eventually adding five lanes in and out of the Crown.N.C. Department of Transportationofficials are still working on proposals for that project.
The new 1,000-foot-long road should be open by November.
