Raleigh police arrested a teenager on Wednesday in connection to the death of a 13-year-old girl earlier in the week. According to the Raleigh Police Department, Mykia Daniel, an eighth-grader at Ligon Middle School, was shot and killed on Monday in a north Raleigh Apartment. Police said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released at the appropriate time.

<b>JOHNSTON COUNTY</b> — A Selma teenager died Tuesday during an afternoon swim.

Divers found 17-year-old Paul Tetrick's body late Tuesday evening in the Little River in eastern Johnston County.

Emergency workers went out in boats for much of the afternoon trying to find the teenager.

Officers say Tetrick and some friends had been jumping in the water beneath the Lowell Mill Dam when the current apparently took him under.   -->
