<b>FAYETTEVILLE</b> — Fayetteville police are hunting for a driver who was involved in a hit and run incident Friday night.

Police say 45-year-old Deborah Wilkes and her 10-year-old son were crossing Bragg Boulevard when someone hit them, then drove off.

The mother, Deborah Wilkes, died early Saturday morning at the hospital. Doctors say her son suffered minor injuries and will be OK.

Police are looking for a small dark-colored vehicle with damage to the  right front side of the car.
