<b>DURHAM</b> — Durham residents who are worried about crime met Saturday night at the community center at Lyon Park.

City leaders are holding a series of meetings, hoping to get suggestions on how to make the Bull City safer.

One of the solutions that came up Saturday night was a curfew. One resident at the meeting supported it, not just for teens but for adults.

"That would help me to lead my child and take some of the peer pressure off my kid by saying he has to be in by 11 or midnight or whatever time the city sets it," Gale Thompson said.

Additional town meetings will be held on July 25.

One will be at the Durham Herald community room, the other will be at Campus Hills Park. Both meetings are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Durham Mayor Nick Tennyson will compile the suggestions in a full report, due out the first of August.
