RALEIGH — A Raleigh woman whose truck and dog were stolen from a local gas station earlier this week is all smiles.
Martha Brown was paying for gas at the Crown gas station on South Saunders Street Tuesday when someone drove off in her blue Ford Ranger, taking her companion, Peek-a-Boo, along with it.
Brown made a plea for her dog's safe return, and were reunited Thursday.
Brown's truck was found in the Haverty's parking lot on Glenwood Avenue. Employees there noticed a dog inside a truck and called animal control.
Brown is thankful Peek-a-Boo is safe and plans to welcome her home with with a special dinner.
