RALEIGH — A Raleigh woman lost her vehicle and her best friend Monday.

Martha Brown is devastated after losing her closest companion -- a 10-year-old Bijon named Peek-a-Boo.

Brown's nightmare started around noon Monday when she left her pickup truck unlocked at a Crown gas station on South Saunders Street.

While Brown went inside to pay for gas, her vehicle was stolen, along with her dog sitting in the front seat. She is offering a $500 reward for Peek-a-Boo's safe return.

"Please get in touch with me and let me know where the dog is. That's all I'm interested in, getting the dog back," Brown says. "They can have the truck. It's in really good shape, but the dog is what I want back."

Brown was driving a 1975 blue Ford Ranger with a camper on the back.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department at919-890-3335.
