RALEIGH — People in an eastern Wake County neighborhood say they feel a little safer Monday.
For the past two weeks, a firebug has been torching everything from trucks to speedboats in the Creekside Village Mobile Home Park.
The fire in one boat nearly spread to a home where people were sleeping.
Wake investigators say they have caught the person who set the fires. Investigators have charged 25-year-old Dwayne Atkisson with arson after he was seen walking away from a truck that went up in flames.
Atkisson is being held at the Wake County jail.
Investigators made a pair of arrests last week in connection with fires set just a few miles away. They do not believe the cases are related.
