CHAPEL HILL — Two >East Chapel Hill High School students will be in court Monday on felony assault charges.
Michael Cooper and Arthur Partlow, both 16, are accused of beating up another student on Friday.
Rodney Carrier, 17, is in fair condition at UNC Hospitals with head and internal injuries.
Investigators say Carrier was repeatedly kicked in the head and body until he passed out.
Crisis teams will be at the school Monday. A letter will also be sent home with students to explain the situation to concerned parents.
If convicted, the two teens could get 4 to 6 years behind bars.
