Posted June 4, 2000
FAYETTEVILLE — The Fayetteville City Council met at City Hall Monday night for the first time since the death of Mayor J.L. Dawkins, but they did not decide who will finish out his term.
Because of a scheduled budget hearing, a decision about a temporary successor was not made.
Mayor Pro Tem Milo McBride will continue with any mayoral responsibilities until the council makes a final decision.
