ATLANTA, GA. — BellSouth and DirecTV are extending their partnership agreement by another five years.
As part of the deal, consumers will now be able to order high-speed DSL services from BellSouth directly through DirecTV.
BellSouth teamed with the satellite TV provider to offer a bundle of services, including local and long-distance calling and DSL services. Since 2004, more than 523,000 people have signed on for DirecTV services as part of the bundle offering, according to BellSouth.
