CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Chatham County authorities charged a 19-year-old man with sexual assault Monday.
Detectives said that the Pittsboro man entered the home of a 15-year-old relative and sexually assaulted her during the summer of 2005.
John Watson Jr., 19, of 315 Goldston Pittsboro Road, Pittsboro, was charged with two counts of felonious indecent liberties with a child and was jailed under $50,000 secured bond.
Watson is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro on Feb. 27.
