School Fire Will Displace 700 Students

August 2, 1996 - 10:55 a.m. EDT

An overnight fire at a Jacksonville elementary school will force the reassignment of about 700 students when school starts in two weeks.

Authorities say the fire at the Summer Sill Elementary School began about twoa.m. destroying one wing of the school.

Fire officials are still at the scene of the smoldering fire and have yet to come up with a cause.
