14 Wake Schools Could Be Year-Round By Fall 2007

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Up to 10 existing Wake County elementary schools and four middle schools could switch to year-round schedules starting in the fall of 2007.

Board of Education members say they need to create space for the growing student population in Wake County, regardless of what voters decide on in regard to school bonds ranging from $826 million to $1.2 billion.

The cheapest option converts all existing middle and elementary schools to year-round schools.
