WILSON, N.C. — Authorities in Wilson have released a picture of the man they believe was involved in a deadly shooting over a cockfight.

Authorities say 27-year-old Rosendo Torres Raygoza and Alejandro Pineda were involved in an illegal cockfight on Boykin Road in the western part of the county.

Investigators say Pineda shot Raygoza and fled the scene. Raygoza later died at the hospital.

Pineda was last seen in a brown-and-silver 1990s-model Dodge Ram extended cab pickup truck with tinted windows.

Authorities have arrested and charged 56-year-old James Ward Flowers after two cockfighting rings and dead birds were found on his property.
