FAYETTEVILLE — A Fayetteville resident is being called a hero after thwarting an attempted robbery.
Police say a woman was trying to deposit a bag of money when a man grabbed the bag out of her hand. He did not get away with the money.
Demettrick Porter tackled the would-be robber and held him until police arrived. It's the second time in one week someone in Fayetteville has caught a suspected criminal before police arrived
