Map Tricks and Pet Tips Can Both Be Found Online

— There is a Web site to help you care for your beloved feline friend, while students and geography fans will take to National Geographic's new Map Machines Web site.

National Geographic's Webmasters keep adding features to their site making it one of the more fascinating ones on the Web.

TheMap Machineincludes all kinds of maps. Most you simply check out online, but there is a printing option for many.

Beginning with the online Atlas, you can find information about every nation including economic, political and other statistics. There are also links to other cartographic sites.

Color landform maps show topography in detail. There are also ancient maps. Physical maps show only the country while political maps show boundaries between countries.

The Map Machine lets you print maps of any country, but they are only in black and white. The site also links to interactive adventures for the family.

National Geographic plans to add even more features to its Map Machine.

Pets are important, andPetopia.comproves it. The site has been online only a short time but is wildly popular. Where else can you check to see what kinds of food dogs really like?

The site also works with the SPCA to find homes for animals without them.
