A Raleigh man injured in the Centennial Olympic Park bombing this past weekend has been released from an Atlanta hospital.
Christian Sobb, 24, told WRAL TV5's Bret Baier that it was a real shock with the bomb went off.
Sobb says he thought what he heard was a clap of thunder, but felt like he was hit by a car. As hundreds of people began to run, he fell to the ground.
Two pieces of shrapnel hit Sobb in the hip, one of them traveling through his pelvis. He also suffered a shrapnel would to his ankle. He underwent surgery Saturday and doctors say he is recovering well.
Sobb says he is angry about the incident, but not intimidated.
Sobb also says he hopes people don't let the bombing incident ruin their Olympic fun.
Sobb is in sales with IBM in Raleigh. He is expected to be released from Jackson Memorial Hospital withing the next few days.
