Cary Police 'Very Concerned' About Missing 79-Year-Old Man
CARY, N.C. — Cary police Sunday morning found a 79-year-old man who had been the subject of a search since he walked away from a McDonald's restaurant Saturday afternoon.

Officers said they spotted William M. Talley about 4 a.m. when he was walking away from a wooded area behind the restaurant at  1830 Walnut St., near Crossroads Plaza.

“We’re pleased that we were able to help find Talley and reunite him with his family,” Lt. Randall Rhyne said. Police had spent the night scouring the area where Talley had last been seen.

Talley had wandered away from the restaurant after his wife dropped him off and waited in the parking lot for his return at about 1:30 p.m., police had said.
