Posted Updated

ATLANTA — July 22, 1996 - 12:30 p.m. EDT

First, thousands of teens watched their Olympic dream jobs go up in smoke. Now, those whoareworking as Atlanta street vendors are complaining about their situations.

Some say there are so many vendors on street corners that no one is making any money.

From pennants to peanuts, shirts to shades, virtually anything that can be carried to a street corner is available in Atlanta right now.

But vendor Pat Nowe (pictured at right) says most have not stuck Olympic gold.

Some vendors say they are so upset about their vending sites they planned a protest at Atlanta City Hall for Monday morning.
