Laura Boone (below, right) is taking that advice to heart. She says she's seen a man fitting the police description walking around her Alma Street neighborhood. Even though she has bars on her windows and doors, Boone says the rash of robberies has made her nervous.
Other residents in the same neighborhood say they've also seen a stranger walking around with a towel around his neck during afternoon hours. They say they have reported the sightings to police.
Police are still looking for help, however, and are offering an $800 reward for information leading to an arrest. They ask that you call Durham Crimestoppers at 919-683-1200 if you have any information
