Nash County Town Considering Teen Curfew

e-mail print friendly

The Nash County town of Nashville is discussing a possible teen curfew that is based on a similar curfew imposed last summer in the Wake County town of Knightdale.

Nashville Police Chief William Creech chief recently suggested putting a teen curfew in place that would require people under the age of 18 to be home by 10 p.m., unless they are with a parent.

Williams' idea is a result of residents complaining about noisy groups hanging out on the street late at night, as well as vandalism.

Williams said there would be exceptions for teens who are working or attending organized events, such as church groups.

Nashville Town Council members plan to discuss the idea at their meeting next month.
