MOORE COUNTY, N.C. — The suspect in a murder case in Moore County is back in North Carolina.
Investigators arrested Johnny Maness in a town near Beaumont, Texas earlier in the week. They think Maness killed 80-year-old Ruthie Morgan last month.
Detectives named Maness as a suspect based on clues in Morgan's truck, which turned up in South Carolina.
Maness arrived at the Moore County Jail at midnight.
