Tornado Warnings Issued for Scotland, Wake Counties

RALEIGH — May 29, 1996 - 8:10 p.m. EDT

The National Weather Service has issued tornado watches for Scotland County and extreme eastern Wake County.

A warning means that a funnel has actually been spotted and that dangerous conditions exist.

Spotters reported a tornado near the intersection of Bethlehem and Poole Roads in eastern Wake County moving east-southeast at 35 MPH.
