Tornado Warnings Issued for Scotland, Wake Counties

The National Weather Service has issued tornado watches for Scotland County and extreme eastern Wake County.

A warning means that a funnel has actually been spotted and that dangerous conditions exist.

Spotters reported a tornado near the intersection of Bethlehem and Poole Roads in eastern Wake County moving east-southeast at 35 MPH.

People near the path of this storm should act now to protect their Go to the lowest floor, a small interior room or closet. Cover your head, stay away from windows. Get out of mobile homes and vehicles and into a sturdy building or a ditch.
