Hundreds of Johnston County students may be spending their summer vacations -- not at the beach -- but in a classroom.
The State's school policy says students who fail the end-of-grade standardized tests should attend summer classes on recommendation of school staff.
Under Johnston County school policy, tuition and transportation are free if summer school is required
