RALEIGH (AP) — April 19, 1996 - 2:38 a.m. EDT
North Carolina State basketball player Marco Harrison remained in stable condition early today after becoming ill during a conditioning workout.
Harrison, a 6-foot-9 freshman from Petersburg, Va., fell down about 20 minutes into Thursday morning's conditioning workout. He then became dizzy and sick and was unable to complete the workout, school officials said.
Harrison was taken to Rex Hospital, where he underwent tests to determine the cause of his illness.
``Marco's situation is not life threatening,'' said Dr. John Rubino, the attending physician.
Herb Sendek, who was named the Wolfpack head coach Wednesday, accompanied Harrison to the hospital.
