DURHAM — April 8, 1996, 3:41 DST Professional basketball player Rasheed Wallace is in trouble with the law. He was arrested by Durham police Easter Sunday and charged with misdemeanor assault.
The victim was identified as Chiquita Bryant. Police arrested Wallace at 6:20 Sunday night on Harrier Court.
It is not known how the two know each other.
Wallace plays center and forward for the Washington Bullets. Prior to his professional career he played for UNC-Chapel Hill.
The Bullets are scheduled to play the Miami Heat tonight at Landover, Maryland
