RALEIGH — April 8, 1996, 4:41 p.m. DST The man who kidnapped a Raleigh woman from her apartment last year was sentenced today. Robert McCrimmon has to serve five and a half to seven and a half years in prison.
McCrimmon admitted his guilt in forcing Laura Novak into the trunk of her own car in North Raleigh, and driving her around the city for eight hours. She was later released, physically unharmed.
Last month, McCrimmon testified against his partner in that crime, Dexter Harris. A jury also convicted Harris.
