The hog processing company that wants to build a plant in Edgecombe County is in trouble with the Labor Department.
IBP Incorporated has been ordered to pay more than $7 million in back wages to its employees in one of the largest cases ever involving unpaid overtime.
The back pay was ordered paid to employees who worked beyond their regular shifts during a two year period in the late 1980's
