The Rev. Eric Rich was in critical condition Thursday after being attacked during choir practice by would-be robbers.

After the Wednesday service, while the choir was practicing, two masked men burst into the sanctuary with a shotgun. Police believe they came for money.
When they left, Rich bleeding on the front steps. Authorities don't believe Rich's attackers got away with any money.
Rich was taken to the hospital with severe head injuries.
