RALEIGH — February 28, 1996 - 10:40 a.m. EST
If you live in Raleigh and own a Mustang, you might want to keep a close eye on your car.
Raleigh police have worked on eight cases of car theft. All were mustangs and all were taken from West Raleigh.
Two of those cars were recovered -- one in Harnett County, the other near Apex.
Police say they've made some progress in the recent rash of stolen cars. They have been working with other police departments in the state.
Investigators say they don't believe the thefts are the work of an organized crime ring
