MORRISVILLE — February 22, 1996 - 5:22 p.m. EST
Business is taking off at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, as Midway Connection announced Thursday that it will double the number of its flights out.
Thursday's announcement means many new flights will go to some popular beach and other destinations. In all, 21 flights will be phased in between March 1 and May 1 to such places as Savannah, Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach and Jacksonville.
This will bring the total of Midway Connection's commuter flights to 60, which is about half what was lost when American Eagle pulled its commuter flights out of RDU over a year ago
