A four-year-old South Carolina boy was killed after he was hit by a train near Greenville.
Investigators say Tremayne Lomax was playing with his cousins in an area they had been warned to avoid.
One of the children said they decided to throw rocks near the tracks when the oncoming train took them by surprise.
The train's engineer said he tried to stop, but was unable to do so in time
