FAYETTEVILLE — February 15, 1996 - 5:14 p.m. EST
The Fayetteville Police Department is hoping to get more than its officers noticed with a new gimmick.
Now you can collect your favorite Fayetteville police officers on trading cards!
The first 5,000 cards were printed this week, depicting officers posing with their dogs, horses and cars on the front, and what the department calls a "good message" on the back.
The idea, they say, is to give children some positive role models.
So far, cards have been issued for only five officers. The department hopes to get more sponsors soallthe officers will be on a card
