FAYETTEVILLE — February 12 1996, 9:30 p.m. EST

A teller at Fayetteville's Triangle Bank was shot during a robbery Monday afternoon.

The teller, Allison Logan, 26, was in fair condition Monday night at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Logan has wounds to her arm and hip, but further medical checks will be needed to determine if the double injury was from one bullet or two.

Two men wearing stocking masks and carrying guns entered the bank about 2 p.m. and demanded money. Logan told authorities and relatives that she was shot when one of the robbers apparently saw her activate a silent alarm, the Associated Press reported.

The robbers fled on foot in a wooded area behind the bank. A search by law officers and search dogs turned up nothing.

Triangle Bank is at 991 S. McPherson Church Road. Until about three months ago, the bank was known as Triangle East Bank.
