DURHAM COUNTY — February 9, 1996 - 6:09 p.m. EST
A mother and her infant son were injured when her car struck a tractor-trailer Thursday morning.
It happened on Highway 54 near Fayetteville Rd., where the truck was trying to turn around and got stuck in mud.
According to investigators, the woman did not see that the truck was immobile, and drove her car under the trailer.
The woman and infant are both listed in stable condition at Duke Hospital in Durham.
No charges were filed
