An embattled former police chief is once again laying down the law in Roxboro.
Tuesday marked Terry Hill's first day back on the job after weeks of controversy. The City Council reinstated Hill Monday afternoon during a closed-door meeting.
Former City Manager Ken Kortness had demoted Hill to captain in November after accusing him of mismanaging police money.
Ironically, Kortness resigned earlier this month after admitting he lied about his education.
Hill will receive back pay and sick leave
