FORT BRAGG — February 1, 1996 - 4:30 p.m. EST
Another round of soldiers from Ft. Bragg is getting ready for deployment to Eastern Europe.
The 82nd Airborne Division is preparing an infantry task force of about 750 paratroopers to support the NATO Peacekeeping Mission in Bosnia.
The 4th Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment was notified in early December to begin training for potential deployment to the European theater.
Now, the soldiers have been told they will leave this month, and to make final preparations . The Army has not yet released an exact departure date.
The battalion commander says his troops are ready to do whatever they are called upon to do. He added that he plans to bring every soldier home safe and sound.
This group will be the largest so far to go to Bosnia from Ft. Bragg
