DURHAM — The Durham Bullsare ready to start the 2000 season. The Bulls will face Columbus in their season opener April 12.
On Tuesday, the Bulls went through their first full batting practice workout since breaking spring training.
There are many new faces this year, but that may be a good thing for the Bulls.
"I think the younger guys can be made better by the experienced guys and helping them get through the season, and what it takes to get to the big leagues," says Bulls manager Bill Evers. "Overall, I think there is a nice mix of players."
The Bulls will have a special guest to throw out the home opening day first pitch.
Former Devil Ray Wade Boggs will take his 3,010 hits to the hill and throw out the first pitch at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
