CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier has been arrested on multiple counts of statutory rape and related charges for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl.
Cumberland County authorities took 20-year-old Quashon Nathan Stukes, who is assigned to "F" Company, 782nd Support Battalion, into custody on Tuesday.
Investigators said they learned of the relationship after military officials discovered the soldier was having consensual sex with the girl. The Cumberland County Department of Social Services was contacted and sheriff's detectives immediately began an investigation.
Stukes remains in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $125,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 1.
